I am making a list of guitars which were owned by Dave Amato.
If you own one, let me know.  I'd especially like to locate the double-neck Jackson.

Spring 2008

04/24/08  Dave called to say that they are having a great time on tour with Def Leppard and they hope to make up the Canadian dates which were cancelled due to health issues in the Leppard camp.  Everyone is in excelent health now and the shows are first-rate.

03/22/08 Photo Editor Terry Lacny has posted a huge page of new photos and fan stories. Check them out HERE.  "Thanks Terry!"

03/15/08  REO will again tour Europe during the first two weeks of June.  I got it second hand that there will be shows in Dublin, Nottingham, and London.  (Thanks Richard)  No more details yet available.  Stay tuned!

3/05/08  The May issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine has a feature article about Dave's guitar collection.  Dave is interviewed by Willie G. Moselley about his "Guitar Arsenal", his favorite vintage guitars, and how he acquired them.  The magazine cover shows a pile of Dave's Fender guitars and has a little photo insert of Dave.  The inside of the magazine has several good photos by Rick Gould.

3/03/08 Today is Dave's birthday. It was a pleasant surprise to find many friends calling and congratulating him for his cover shot on Vintage Guitar Magazine. Though Dave nor this webmaster have seen the newest issue, we had inside information it was coming. As soon as I get my copy in the mail, I'll print some details.

Classic photo at left was sent in by David Plastik. Photos of Dave and Ted seem to be rather rare. We've only seen a handfull here at this site. This photo will be added as a perminant part of the Career Section. Thanks Dave!

02/06/08  Dave tells me that the new DVD was handed over to the A&E (TV) people a while back.  It is up to A&E to schedule it for airing on TV, then for sale.  He doesn't have any details of a timeline for that to happen.

01/01/08  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

12/14/07  Dave, Kevin, and Bryan played at the Malibu Performing Arts Center this Friday the 14th.  The event is a Homeless charity fund raiser.  After this acoustic gig, the guys will be off for the holidays.

Dave has been guitar shopping again.  We'll be adding to the list a 1970 Telecaster Custom in Black with Bigsby, 1983 Explorer (sister guitar to his 83 Flying V) and a genuine 1965 Gibson J160E, which is the same as John Lennon's.

12/09/07  Photo editor Terry Lacny has posted lots of great photos from recent shows.  Take a look at tour 2007 pages 13 and 14 via the PHOTO BOOK link below.  Many thanks to those who shared their photos and to Terry for his time and talent getting them posted.

11/12/07  Dave called to say they had a very productive week in the studio.  The new DVD is all edited with the exception of two bonus tracks.  The band will be back in the studio after Thanksgiving to complete those.  Stay tuned for more info.

11/11/07   Dave is now proud to endorse Encore Case Company, D'Andrea Guitar Picks, and his good buddy Danny, who owns California Vintage Guitars. Links to these fine businesses have been added to the Endorsements Page.

10/26/07  Neal Doughty sent in this photo of a Fender Esquire guitar which was played on stage by Dave. The guitar was discovered at a frequent venue of theirs... The Biloxi Mississippi Hard Rock! The Hard Rock moves their stuff around, so one of Dave's guitars could turn up anywhere. Let us know if you spot one, and get a photo if you can. Thanks Neal!

10/21/07 Three more pages of stage photos have been posted.  Tour 2007 pages 10, 11 and 12 with photos from Kenny Williamson-St Louis MO, Julie Wysocki-Vegas area shows, Cindi Carter-Temecula CA, John McLaughlin-Des Moines Iowa, Tina and Amy photos, and Lisa Miller-Lawenceberg IN.  Photos include shots of St Louis Baseball Cardinal Scott Spiezio and also REO's own truck driver "Rick" who received a signed guitar on stage for his birthday.  Follow the knob labeled "Photo Book" below.  Many thanks to Terry Lacny for his hard work in editing and posting these exceptional photos.

10/01/07  Dave checked in last night to say that the new DVD is "UNBELIEVABLE"!  He's really enthused about the project and is happy with the way it is coming out.  They have it half-way complete, but due to a busy tour schedule they won't have much time to work on it this month.

08/06/07  Photo above is of the "Never Seen on an American Stage" "B-rig". Check out those massive triple stacked red Marshall speaker cabinets!

04/26/07  Fans are reporting that the "Find Your Own Way Home" triple CD/DVD is already sold out in their neighborhood WalMart stores. It is still available on line at www.WalMart.com, use this link for direct access.

The complete guitar inventory has been posted along with a photo of each guitar.  Follow this link: SEE ALL 90 GUITARS! Warning, don't EVEN try going there if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. Enjoy!
